The road to resolution

  1. What happened

Our client was crossing the road where he had right of way when an oncoming motorcyclist hit him.

He suffered concussion, memory loss, a cut to his head and knee pain that has persisted since.

    • Concussion
    • Memory loss
    • Head wound
    • Ongoing knee pain
  2. How we helped

Solicitors at NJS Law brought the claim against the motorcyclist’s insurer.

Gaps in our client’s memory did not stop his claim. We pieced together what happened from the available evidence and arranged an independent medical report. We then negotiated until the claim was resolved.

  3. The outcome

Our client received £25,000 in compensation.

Every claim is different, and the outcome of your claim will depend on your circumstances.

Questions people ask

Can I still claim if I can’t remember the accident?

Yes. Memory loss after an accident is common, especially with a head injury. What happened can often be established from other evidence, such as witness statements, police reports, CCTV or dashcam footage, and medical records.

Can I claim if I was hit by a motorcyclist?

Yes. Motorcyclists must have insurance just like car drivers, so a claim is usually made against the motorcyclist’s insurer. If the rider was uninsured or cannot be traced, a claim may still be possible through the Motor Insurers’ Bureau.
