Your no-claims discount is normally unaffected. Because the claim is made against the at-fault driver's insurer rather than your own policy, you are not claiming on your own insurance, so your NCD stays intact.
Your renewal premium is a separate question. You still need to tell your own insurer that the accident happened — almost every policy requires it, even when you are not claiming through them — and insurers price on risk rather than blame. That means a recorded accident can affect what you are quoted at renewal even where you were entirely the innocent party.
