How we helped
Solicitors at NJS Law brought the claim against the driver’s insurer. We showed that the driver turned across our client’s path without warning, and arranged an independent medical report on the fracture, the back pain and the scarring.
We then negotiated until the claim was resolved.

Questions people ask
Who is at fault when a driver turns left across a cyclist?
Often the driver. The Highway Code says drivers should not cut across cyclists going ahead when turning into or out of a junction, and should signal in good time before turning. Fault always depends on the circumstances of each accident.
Can I claim for scarring after an accident?
Yes. Scarring can form part of an injury claim alongside other injuries. An independent medical report describes the scars, how visible they are and whether they are likely to be permanent.
