What Happened

Who is at fault when a car turns across a filtering motorcyclist?
Filtering is legal in the UK, and a rider filtering sensibly through slow or stopped traffic is not automatically at fault when a vehicle turns across them. Drivers are expected to look properly and signal before turning — the "sorry mate, I didn't see you" collision is one of the most common causes of motorcycle injury on British roads.
Insurers do sometimes argue for shared responsibility in filtering cases, depending on speed and road position. That is an argument to be had on the evidence, not a reason to assume you have no claim.
